3. Model Digital-Age Work and Learning
1) Learning Management Systems
e.g Moodle & Exam Buddy.
A] Teachers must create multiple accounts for students and parents.
B] Teachers can upload notes and exercises for students to download.
C] Parents can log in and check on their children’s work, activities and progresses.
D] Feedbacks and Digital Signatures of the parents as proof that they have already checked and perused their children’s progresses.
E] Chatrooms and Forums to discuss current issues, etc with parents.
2) Writing a Composition
A] Picture Composition - Students type their composition in MS_Word and draw pictures of what they have written in
MS_Paint (For e.g, a birthday celebration).
3) Story-Telling
A] Students use MS_PPT to illustrate the story (Pictures, Backgrounds, etc) as props for the story.
This could enhance their ICT skills as well as their confidence and charisma in the usage of ICT.
4) Science
A] Students can take pictures of the environment, animals, etc and present them with proper explanation in class.
B] Students could also use MS_PPT, or other applications to help their presentation.
(For e.g., life cycle of animals)
5) Mathematics
A] Hot Potatoes to give out quizzes.
B] MS_ Excel to create tables and graphs.
C] Roamers to learn about angles and shapes.
D] IWB for activites.
6) Geography
A] Google Earth to learn about the latitudes and longitudes.
B] To Locate places (For e.g. Countries, Rivers, Sea, Deserts, etc)
C] Verbal Quizzes (for e.g. locating the longest river in the world, what country belongs to which continent)
7) History
A] Using the Internet to search for facts and images.
B] Using Internet Resources to search for videos (e.g Youtube)
